A Message from the Board Chair
Dear Members:
We would like to give a special thank you to our Fashion Show and Employee Appreciation Day sponsors.
The event was exciting, fun and offered a red carpet flair. Frankie Stewart the Mistress of Ceremony and I, would like to send a special shout out to all attendees, the models and Jays Catering and staff. Lena Whitaker our Vice Chair of
Special Events did a wonderful and great job in coordinating and putting on the event. She worked with Jays,
the Community Center, lighting technicians, Children's Place, Belinda's Fashion, Sears and
J.C. Penny's as well as Mark and Tanya at Avalon Storage, the volunteers and staff to make this event successful.
Jays our Major sponsor, made sure everyone was endowed with a great lunch served with flair, and atmosphere fit for movie stars
and beautiful decorations. We also thank our all of our sponsors, who without them we could not have pulled it off.
Each year we just keep getting better!
We hope you can make to the Quarterly Breakfast in June. On June 19th, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. we will be hosting the Quarterly Breakfast at
the Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald Community Center. We hope that you can join us for a fun time, mixing, networking,
and having fun. Call the chamber for details.
The Carson Chamber of Commerce is working hard to provide informative
and useful programs for business advocacy and membership progress.
The Executive Board and the Board of Directors along with various committees are
facilitating new territory to set new goals, increase business advocacy,
leadership agenda and membership participation this next fiscal year.
We are encouraging all members to attend the chamber's events scheduled throughout the year. Please call the Chamber Office for times and locations or visit our website. Meeting one another and exploring new possibilities is what we do best and it is what we are about.
Let us know how we can serve you better and improve all aspects of our goals as we set a new agenda to better our vision and mission. We encouraged our membership input and we look forward to a prosperous 2007-2008. We are encouraging our Chamber members take an active part in any or all of our events and projects and committees. With everyone's involvement we can make Carson an even better place to live and do business.
